April 25th, 2013 – Holy crap the first update in over two years!!!!!!!!! SORRY FOR SLACKIN’!!!!!! The first thing you’ll notice is our new frontpage appearance. After a two year hiatus, we thought we’d at least mix it up a bit!!! Also, NEW TATTOO PHOTOS in all artist galleries!!!!! NEW FINE ART PHOTOS in all artist galleries!!!! A new section for Aftercare will also include FAQ’s that will help you along your tattoo process. NEW GALLERY EXHIBITS listed in the Gallery section!!!! Last but certainly not least is the greatest effort put forth by the SNT family, the Tattoo Cancer Fight. Make sure to check that section out and see how you can participate in an amazing cause. Thanks for your patience over the last couple years!!! We love and appreciate you all!!!!!!!
January 19th, 2011 – Short North Tattoo is expanding!!!!! Construction has begun on Old North Tattoo, our second location!!! Old North Tattoo is the second location of the Short North Tattoo legacy. Old North Tattoo is located in the Old North district of High Street, just north of Hudson St. Nestled in the same block as Columbus pillars, Hound Dog’s Pizza/Ravari Room, Old North Tattoo will provide tattooing and piercing services, along with a full art gallery. The studio will mirror it’s Short North counterpart, however will accommodate the high volume campus atmosphere with more artists and a piercer to suit all client needs. Old North Tattoo is currently in the remodeling process and we hope to open our doors by July to the public!
January 19th, 2011 – Big news update this month!!! First and foremost, Short North Tattoo would like to welcome Dennis Boseman and Chuck Gillum to our crew!!! Check out their galleries and see why we are so excited to have them on the team. They are already booking up fast, so make an appointment soon to get tattooed by these talented artists! Second, Short North Tattoo is now open on Sundays for appointments. If you would like to get tattooed on a Sunday, please call and speak to one of our artists to set something up. Finally, Columbus Alive is doing their annual “Best of Columbus” reader survey. We have been listed as one of the nominees!!! If you wouldn’t mind showing some support and voting, we would greatly appreciate it. It doesn’t require registration and takes about 2 minutes tops. November 4th, 2010 – Short North Tattoo would like to welcome Don Colling to our crew!!! Don is a Columbus icon with 21 years of tattooing experience. He is an awesome custom tattoo artist with a very painterly style. In addition, Don makes some of the best tattoo machines around today. Hard hitting, like his machines, Don is a welcome addition. Make sure to schedule with him soon! We also have revamped the site a bit, adding new photos of the shop, tattoo photos, and Don’s portfolio. The shop itself has also gone through some remodeling, with all new gallery exhibits. Please stop by and visit us sometime. Thanks for checking us out and your ongoing support!
May 28th, 2010 – Lots of great new updates! First and foremost, Short North Tattoo would like to welcome Adam Fox to the crew!!! From Dayton, OH, Adam is a tattooer since 2006. He has a graphic design background, and a life long passion for art. He has a wide range throughout his tattooing style, from soft black and grey realism, to traditional hard lined, bold color tattoos. Come get tattooed by this great artist immediately!!! Also, Hell City went very well once again. Thanks to Durb and Co. for another good time! There will be many exciting events happening in the new future, so check us out often. January 1st, 2010 – Sovereign Collective is now Short North Tattoo! As you can see, nothing has changed but the name. All of the same artists are here doing the same thing, and we are still a full art gallery and working art studio.
