Haugland Learning Center Exhibit
Haugland Learning Center (HLC) serves the educational needs of over 120 children with Autism or Asperger syndrome throughout the state of Ohio. HLC accepts students from preschool through twelfth grade (including those with behaviors) and is therefore an excellent alternative to public school. All students with an Autism or Asperger’s diagnosis are eligible to receive the Autism Scholarship from the Ohio Department of Education, which can be used to pay for educational services at HLC.
This exhibit showcased the talents of the students of HLC in a group show in which all of the art students contributed to each piece. The students and their families were able to enjoy the art on display with the opening night ceremonies and throughout the month. It was a great event to be a part of, and was very rewarding.
